'Stitches' are 'funny'
Well, he might not say that if he had to bring one back from the brink of their previous existence. However, we shall give the benefit of the doubt because all publicity is good publicity. Right?

OK, 'funny' was a completely hopeless word to have used, can I be forgiven?
Stitches are genious, please accept my humble adoration.
Rest easy my son, you are forgiven (say three Hail Marys and shuffle on your knees til they bleed to show you've thought long and hard about your actions).

I have been shuffling for several months now & feel quite refreshed & suitably repentant. Stitches are certainly not funny.
